Saura – Eneb | 100% Linen | Limited Edition
The Story
Eneb takes its name from the Sora word for tree—a form that appears repeatedly across the hand-painted composition of this shirt.
On the right front, an expansive Saura painting unfolds within a tall, bordered field. Trees rise through the composition, accompanied by animals, human figures, processional scenes and moments of collective life. At its centre, two animals stand beneath a tree within a diamond-shaped enclosure, while figures carrying, gathering and moving together extend the narrative across successive registers. The lower section culminates in a long procession of figures, giving the painting an almost continuous rhythm from shoulder to hem.
The tree returns on the left chest pocket in a smaller, self-contained composition: two animals face one another beneath its branches, encircled by a hand-painted geometric border. What appears monumental on one side of the shirt is distilled into an intimate scene on the other.
Painted entirely by hand on pastel-pink linen, Eneb brings these individual scenes together through the recurring presence of the tree—not simply as vegetation, but as the visual centre around which animal and human life gathers.
The irregularities of the painted line, shifts in proportion and individual marks of the hand remain visible throughout. They belong to the making of the piece and are preserved rather than corrected.
